Pink flowering varieties and hybridsin collection of strawberry by NCRRIHV

Abstract

Contents of pink flowering strawberry collection in NCRRIHV includes the 7 introduced varieties and 18 hybrid forms derived from crosses by Belrubi × F₁ C-141. Hybrid forms are well adapted to the conditions of the North Caucasus region, have, in high productivity, decorative traits and the ability to continuous flowering and fruiting during the spring-summer and autumn seasons. Number of flowers (pieces/plant) in the hybrids ranged from 9 to 293. Greatest number of flowers per plant seen in hybrid forms 9-2-12 (243 pcs), 5-212 (293 pcs), 2-7-12 (216 pcs), 1-11-12 (255 pcs), 1-3-12 (245 pcs), 1-2-12 (183 pcs), 2-212 (213 pcs.). First these three forms have a pale pink color of the flower, the next four - bright pink. Distinguish three varieties of strawberry - Tarpan, E-220, Vsemirny debut and 5 hybrid forms - 1-2-12, 1-3-12, 1-11-12, 2-5-12, 2-9-12, have high ornamentality and good adaptability to environmental conditions of the region.
